George contacted us to see if we could help restore this beauty back to its former glory. This project has quite a sentimental value. It belonged to Georges inlaws and was bought brand new and used on the farm and as a family vehicle. The wife and daughters towing a caravan went on a trip to Hanmer Spring years ago, but unfortunately it developed some issues over the years and was put in a shed for over 20 years.
Project Direction / The Plan / Our Solution
Once the Landrover was retrieved from its resting place over the last 20 years and the massive mouse population had exited, it was put on our car transporter and bought into our workshop. A bit of a plan was formed and we started by stripping it down and taking it to Riverlands Sandblasting for a bit of a blast.
Hours of Rust and Fabrication were attended to and then the whole body was prepared for painting. It was painted back to the original colours and the old upholstery was replaced with a nice new Tan interior.
Last step is to get the Mechanical parts taken care of and it will be back on the road again in all its glory.
